Conference Details :
Thirty Seventh National and Fourth International Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power will be organized at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai during December 16-18, 2010 under the auspices of the National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power.
Over the years, the country has made substantial progress in the fields related to fluid mechanics and fluid power due to rapid advancements in computational and experimental facilities. The outcome has immensely benefited the industries in numerous ways. In order to disseminate the research findings and industry contributions, the Society holds a National Conference every year and International Conference once in every four years, either at an academic Institution or at research organization. This conference provides a common platform for academicians, engineers and technologists to come together and discuss the progress made within the country and abroad on various aspects of fluid mechanics and fluid power. The 3rd International Conference was held at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, in December 2006 and the 36th National Conference is being organized jointly by College of Engineering, Pune and Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Pune.
The 37th conference will focus on current research topics in different disciplines of fluid mechanics and fluid power and related interdisciplinary areas. Thematic sessions, student poster sessions, industrial sessions, panel discussions, product exhibitions are some of the notable features of the conference. Eminent personalities will deliver plenary, key note, endowment, memorial and Invited lectures to highlight the recent advancements made in the specialized fields.
Technical deliberation in the following broad areas is envisaged:
· Acoustics
· Atmospheric flows
· Bio Fluid Mechanics
· Computational Fluid Dynamics
· Experimental Fluid Mechanics
· Fluid Machinery
· Flow Instability
· Flow control
· Gas dynamics
· Heat and Mass transfer
· Hydrodynamics
· Industrial Fluid Mechanics
