SWAT Workshop in India in Civil Engg. Department - IIT Delhi

OVERVIEW

Computer models have become increasingly important tools for analyzing complex problems involving water flow and contaminant transport in the soils and groundwater. This training workshop is designed to familiarize participants with the principles and analysis of watershed flows and transport
processes. The focus of the workshop will be especially on watershed modeling using SWAT. This workshop is intended for individuals with interest on modeling watershed processes.

About the SWAT model

The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) is a public domain model actively supported by the USDA Agricultural Research Service at the Grassland Soil and Water research laboratory in Temple, Texas, USA. The main purpose of the model is to predict the effects of management decisions on water, nutrients, sediments and pesticide yield with reasonable accuracy on large, ungauged river basins. It is a distributed model that simulates all previously mentioned constituents on a daily time step. SWAT is a river basin scale model developed to quantify the impact of land management practices in large, complex watersheds. SWAT defines hydrology by a specific list of parameters including interception, evapotranspiration, surface runoff, lateral flow, soil percolation and ground water flow as well as river routing processes.

Conference Date:- 15-July-2010

National Seminar on Number Theory and Cryptography (NTC 2010)

National Seminar on Number Theory and Cryptography

The objective of the Department of Computer Applications is to provide quality education in terms of inspiring teachers, state of the art facilities, and facilitate students to interact with experts from the academics and the industry.

The Master of Computer Applications programme was started in the year 2001. The department has a team of eminent faculty members with aspiring technocrats and has made rapid strides in a short period.

The aim of this seminar is to provide comprehensive technical sessions in connection with Number Theory and Cryptography in Network Security. The topics included in the seminar exist in the curriculum of many reputed Universities. Hence, the seminar would provide a platform for faculty members to boost their acumen, and to improve their teaching and research oriented thought provoking skill sets.

Seminar Date:- 5th and 6th August 2010

ICT 2010

About ICT 2010

Welcome to the official website of the International Conference on Advances in Information and Communication Technologies – ICT 2010. Due to several technical reasons ICT 2010 will be held during Sep 07-09, 2010 in Kochi, Kerala, India. ICT 2010, is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Communication to a common forum.

The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computational Engineering, and Communication. Another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working in India and abroad. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Information, Telecommunication, Computing Techniques and related areas.

English is the official language of the conference. We welcome paper submissions. Prospective authors are invited to submit full (and original research) papers (which is NOT submitted/published/under consideration anywhere in other conferences/journal) in electronic (PDF only) format through the easy chair conferences management system website or via email ict.paper AT engineersnetwork.org » Call for Papers »
